Two drug dealers arrested with cannabis at Benapole border
Md. Russell Islam, Jessore District Representative: DB police have arrested two drug dealers along with one kg of cannabis at Benapole border.
The district detective (DB) confirmed the arrest of the accused along with the recovered cannabis through a police press briefing on Sunday afternoon. The arrested are Muhidul Islam, 30, son of Jinnat Ali of Ghiba village under Benapole Port police station and Jamal Hossain, 42, son of late Naeem Uddin of the same village.
Jessore District Detective Branch (DB) Police Officer-in-Charge Rupon Kumar Sarkar said two persons were arrested along with cannabis in a raid at Benapole border on Saturday on the basis of secret information. The arrested accused have been handed over to Benapole Port Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
