A wheel burst on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight while taking off from Kolkata to Dhaka. The 72 passengers on the plane panicked. But finally the plane managed to land safely at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal Airport with the passengers.
Group Captain Kamrul Islam, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, told reporters this information.
He said that the accident took place on Monday morning in the BG-392 flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. The flight took off at 9:19 am local time of Kolkata. Later it landed safely in Dhaka at 10:30 am.
It is known that the aircraft is a Dash 8-400 model. The right rear wheel tire burst. Three fire service units and other preparations were made at the airport to deal with the emergency when the aircraft landed.
