The VVIP terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has started breaking down. This terminal is being demolished for the construction of the third terminal at the airport. National and foreign dignitaries including President, Prime Minister have traveled through this terminal.

A new VVIP terminal will be constructed under the third terminal project. However, the existing VVIP terminal is being demolished for the project work. A temporary terminal has been constructed at the airport for VVIP passengers at this time.

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Executive Director Group Captain Mohammad Kamrul Islam said that the current VVIP terminal is being demolished for the third terminal taxiway. However, a temporary terminal has been constructed for use at this time.
