The passenger of the plane died in mid-air due to the strong shaking. A passenger lost his life in mid-air due to the severe shaking of the plane. CNN reported that the accident happened last Friday (March 3) in the United States. The incident took place in a Bomberza CL30 model private plane (private jet). The plane took off from Dillant-Hopkins Airport in Keene, New Hampshire, bound for Leesburg Executive Airport in Virginia. But it made an emergency landing at Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport at 4pm local time on Friday due to mid-air turbulence.
The US Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said in a tweet that one passenger was seriously injured due to the violent shaking. There were three passengers and two cabin crew on the plane at the time. The NTSB has not confirmed the condition of the rest of the passengers. However, the organization said that there was no disruption in the take-off and landing of the aircraft at the airport.
The NTSB said the matter is under investigation. The aircraft’s flight data recorder and cockpit voice are being tested. The investigation report will be released in the next two-three weeks. Connecticut’s chief health officer has completed an autopsy on the man who died in mid-air. However, the identity of that person has not been revealed. Can death be caused by the shaking of the plane?
There is a risk of serious injury if the seatbelt is not fastened in the aircraft and there is a jolt in mid-air. According to FAA data, from 2009 to 2021, 121 airplanes suffered injuries caused by shaking. 80% of them are cabin crew. From 1980 to 2009, only three people died from injuries sustained in a plane crash, the NTSB said.
