The plane took off from Dillant-Hopkins Airport in Keene, New Hampshire, bound for Leesburg Executive Airport in Virginia. But it made an emergency landing at Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport at 4pm local time on Friday due to mid-air turbulence.

The US Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said in a tweet that one passenger was seriously injured due to the violent shaking. There were three passengers and two cabin crew on the plane at the time. The NTSB has not confirmed the condition of the rest of the passengers. However, the organization said that there was no disruption in the take-off and landing of the aircraft at the airport.

The NTSB said the matter is under investigation. The aircraft’s flight data recorder and cockpit voice are being tested. The investigation report will be released in the next two-three weeks. Connecticut’s chief health officer has completed an autopsy on the man who died in mid-air. However, the identity of that person has not been revealed.
