The first passenger aircraft made in India has officially started operating. On Tuesday, Alliance Air’s Dornier-227 aircraft arrived at Arunachal Pradesh’s Pasighat from Mohanpur Airport in Dibrugarh with Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju.

On Tuesday, the Alliance’s Dibrugarh-Lilabari-Pasighat-Guwahati route was officially launched, but regular flights will start from April 18.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has entered into an agreement with Alliance to lease two 18-seater Dornier DO-228 aircraft.

According to Alliance Air, under the aircraft project, Ujani is going to launch air services from Dibrugarh in Assam to five northeastern cities.

Flights between Dibrugarh-Teju and Dibrugarh-Jiroro will also be launched in the next 12-15 days. After that flights will be operated from Dibrugarh to Tutting, Mechuka and Vijayanagar.
