A cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday (March 26) set the office schedule for all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations in the holy month of Ramadan 1443 AH (2022 AD). The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office. Governor of Bangladesh Bank Fazle Kabir informed the meeting about the schedule to keep the bank open during Ramadan. After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam told reporters at the Secretariat.
Depending on the sighting of the moon, Ramadan, the month of fasting for Muslims, will start from April 3 or 4. At present the bank is open from 10 am to 6 pm.
The cabinet secretary said the schedule for government offices in Ramadan is from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bangladesh Bank did it from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. The governor was at the meeting, what he said – so that not all at once.
“I don’t know about the court,” he said. The governor of Bangladesh Bank has said that he has already done it from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
