Open soybean oil has been increased by Tk 44 per liter and bottled soybean oil by Tk 38 per liter.

As a result, open soybean oil will be sold at Tk 180 per liter and bottled soybean oil at Tk 198.

It will be effective from Friday (May 8).

Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vegetable Manufacturers Association adjusted prices on Thursday (May 5).

According to a notification, the price of five-liter bottled soybean oil has been fixed at Rs 975. Besides, the government has fixed the price of palm oil at Tk 182 per liter.

The information was given at a meeting of company representatives, tariff commissions and senior secretaries at the Commerce Ministry to exchange Eid greetings and update oil prices.
