Today is March 17, World Sleep Day. On the occasion of the day, an organization in Bangalore, India has taken a novel initiative. Employees of the company have been given leave to sleep on this day. According to the company, through this their employees can take proper rest. You can practice ways to stay healthy.

The name of the company is Wakefit Solutions. It is basically a company selling various sleeping materials (mattresses, pillows etc.). Recently, Wakefit has gained popularity by selling home decoration materials. The company posted on LinkedIn. Later the screenshot of that post was mailed to all the employees of the organization.

All workers have been given an optional day off on March 17 to mark World Sleep Day, the post’s caption said. They need to rest after a long week. Today all workers will get a golden opportunity to rest.

The email sent to employees by the company had the subject line, ‘Surprise Holiday: Sleeping Gift Announcement’.

Wakefit Solutions officials told the staff, ‘As we encourage people to sleep, we treat World Sleep Day as a festival. Especially when it’s Friday!’
