Barrister Mohammad Selim Isfaq Ali has been appointed as the first lawyer in the Malaysian High Court. He has taken the oath.
Barrister Mohammad Selim Isfaq Ali’s house is in Kahur village of Nawabganj police station in Dhaka. He moved to England in 2009 after completing ‘O’ level from Green Herald and ‘A’ level from Master Mind.
He graduated from the University of Northambia in the United Kingdom in 2013 with a degree in law and in 2014 from the Society of Lincoln’s Inn in Bar at Law (England and Wales). He completed his Masters in Law from Northambia University in 2015.
Former director of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the only child of Khorshed Ali Mollar and Aleya Begum, vice-presidents of the Dhaka Chamber. His wife, Barrister Sufaira Zafar, is a Malaysian citizen. Both the husband and wife are partners of the famous Malaysian law firm Smritinur & Partner.

Meanwhile, Selim Isfaq Ali has been given a reception as a lawyer has been appointed in the High Court. GM Russell Rana, Co-Counselor of Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia, who was present, congratulated him.
