Whale Merchant, Moulvibazar Representative: Moulvibazar Municipality has made preparations for Eid Jamaat in compliance with health rules. Eidgah Maidan, the famous scenic town of the district, has been prepared for the congregation of worshipers on the day of Eid.

After about two years, the worshipers will be able to participate in the Eid prayers. Due to the corona virus, the last two years were closed due to the ban on Eid prayers.

Three congregations of Holy Eid will be held at Eidgah Maidan. 1st Jamaat of Eid prayers will be held at 8:30 am, 2nd Jamaat at 8:30 am and 3rd Jamaat at 8:30 am.

Maulana Syed Abdul Muhid, Khatib of Chaumuhna Dewani Jame Mosque of the city will lead the 1st Eid prayers, Khatib of 2nd Jamaat will lead the prayers, Muhibur Rahman, 3rd and last Jamaat will be led by Imam Mufti Shamsuzzoha of Sultanpur Jame Mosque. A huge pendulum is also being made outside the Eidgah so that the worshipers can perform their prayers at ease.

Moulvibazar Municipality Mayor. Fazlur Rahman has requested everyone in Eid Jamaat to come to Eid prayers wearing masks and following health rules. The worshipers have been requested by the Eidgah Management Committee to take part in the next congregation if the prescribed seats for prayers are filled. Besides, if the weather is not favorable, the congregation will be held in the mosque. More than 50 mosques in the city are ready for Eid Jamaat.
