Solaiman Hasan, Narayanganj: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that in order to liberate the people of the country from the one-party rule of the present government, all the political parties must come together and build national unity.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said all political parties should unite to build national unity in order to liberate the people of the country from the one-party rule of the present government. Through a united movement, this government will be overthrown and a new parliament and government will have to be formed by demanding elections under a neutral government.
Mirza Fakhrul made the remarks while addressing an Iftar program and discussion organized by Sonargaon Upazila BNP in Meghnaghat area of Sonargaon in Narayanganj on Friday.
Mirza Fakhrul said the foreign minister had sought India’s cooperation in lifting US sanctions on the RAB. But India was asked to co-operate without taking action against the masterminds of the abduction and murder. He condemned this government for this.
Mirza Fakhrul claimed that a case has been filed against 35 lakh leaders and activists for suppressing the opposition. This government has disappeared many leaders and activists including Ilias Ali and Chowdhury Alam. The U.S. government has banned eight people from traveling to the United States for involvement in kidnappings, murders and other human rights abuses. And in order to lift that ban, the government has been using various methods.

During the program, BNP Acting President Tarique Rahman addressed the leaders and workers in a video conference from London.
