Police have arrested a lecturer named Muraduzzaman Makul (48) in a case of raping a schoolgirl in Bogra’s Dhunte and spreading the video of the rape on the mobile phone. Son of Matiur Rahman of Shailmari village in Muraduzzaman upazila and a lecturer in history and culture of Islam at Jalshuka Habibur Rahman Degree College.

Muraduzzaman Makul was sent to Bogra District Jail through a court from Dhunat Police Station on Friday (May 13) morning. Earlier, he was arrested from Dhunat town area on Thursday evening. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhunat Police Station Kripa Sindhu Bala said that during the preliminary interrogation, Muraduzzaman confessed to raping the student and recording the video of the incident.

The victim has been sent to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for physical examination. Besides, the victim’s statement will be recorded in the Bogra
