Bagerhat Correspondent: The Royal Bengal Tiger, the king of the forest, has entered the Sundarbans locality of Bagerhat as food. So the tiger panic has spread among the locals. They are spending their days in extreme anxiety. The mosque’s mike has been announced and everyone has been urged to be vigilant. The villagers have made arrangements to keep the lights on at night by enclosing the cowsheds to protect their cows and buffaloes.

On Thursday night (May 5), a tiger from the Sundarbans entered the fish enclosure of Abul Member in Dhansagar Chhota Khar Bazar area of Sharankhola Upazila. UP member Abul Hossain and his son Shahin are claiming that they saw the tiger in their fish pond around 9 pm. However, no news of tiger attack has been received so far.

Meanwhile, people in Dakshin Rajapur, Chhota Khar Bazar, Pahlan Bari and Khejurbaria villages are scared by the news of tiger arrival. Members of the Wild Team and Village Tiger Response Team (VTRT) engaged in the protection of the Sundarbans advised the villagers to be vigilant and not panic.
