Administrator Mohammad Azizur Rahman gave this information to the journalists in a press briefing. In the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner, he said, ‘On the occasion of Mujib Year, in the third phase, 72 houses built for landless and homeless families in the district as a gift from the Prime Minister.
Will be handed over today, Tuesday. He will inaugurate the handover of 32,904 houses across the country. At this stage, houses will be provided to 72 families in 9 upazilas of Bagerhat. Of the 9 upazilas of the district, 161 are in Morelganj, 145 in Mongla, 60 in Fakirhat and 60 in Bagerhat Sadar.
80 in Mollahat, 60 in Rampal, 28 in Chitalmari, 23 in Kachua and 5 in Sharankhola upazila.
Homeless and landless families will get this house. 2 lakh 59 thousand rupees has been spent for the construction of each house in the 3rd phase.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that among the landless and homeless families in Bagerhat district, 106 families were given houses in the 1st and 2nd phase. In the 3rd phase, 1092 houses were allotted for construction but 72 houses will be handed over to the landless and homeless on Tuesday as the construction work is completed. The remaining 429 houses will be handed over when the construction work is completed.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) said. Shahinuzzaman, Additional District Magistrate Hafiz Al Asad, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Muhammad Mushaberul Islam and other officials were present.
