Iftar mahfil was held on Saturday in honor of the Bangladesh community in Lisbon at the initiative of Comilla Community of Portugal. The event was held at the Test of Lisbon in the Bangladeshi-inhabited Rua do Benformoso area of Lisbon.
The speakers called upon all the expatriates to stand united and work side by side. Prominent people of the Bangladeshi community including politicians, businessmen and journalists were present at the Iftar.
Comilla community businessman. Jamal Uddin presided over and said the journalist. Enamul Haque and Shafiullah Mahmud started the recitation of the Qur’an.
At the beginning of the program, Arif bin Zahid discussed the significance and importance of Ramadan. President of Portugal Awami League Zahirul Islam Jasim and President of Matri Maniz Jame Mosque Mosharraf Karim spoke as the chief guests.
President of Portugal Bangla Press Club Farid Ahmed Patwari and Shoaib Ahmed spoke as special guests.
Director of Multicultural Academy and General Secretary of Portugal Bangla Press Club Md. Spoke about the importance of Comilla community and the need of Bangladesh community. Russell Ahmed and Farhad Reza.
