Information Minister and Joint General Secretary of Awami League commented that the country would have moved forward if BNP had not pulled back. Hasan Mahmud.
He made this comment while speaking as the chief guest at an event in Kakrail on the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Information Minister Mahmud said that a political evil has become an obstacle in the way of building Sonar Bangla, the dream of the father of the nation. BNP and its allies are the main sponsors of that evil. If they had not pulled back the wheel of development and progress of Bangladesh, the country would have progressed much further.
Hasan Mahmud said, BNP and its allies do politics of denial and politics of confrontation. Their street-fighting politics has reached the Supreme Court’s balcony today, where they have rigged the ballot in the election of lawyers.”
Hasan Mahmud also said, “We live in a multi-party democratic society and here there will be criticism of the officials, there will be debates. But the bad culture of politics of saying no to everything needs to be eradicated. We all aim to take the country forward. Only then we can take the country to the dream destination of Bangabandhu.”
