The minister made the remarks while distributing VGF rice among the extremely poor and helpless families as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at Dhanbari Municipality premises in Tangail on Wednesday morning.

Calling on the BNP to make constructive criticism, the Agriculture Minister said, “You make politics and constructive criticism for the people.” But in the name of politics, in the name of movement, you will set fire to cars, burn people, strike, uproot railways, we will not allow that. This is not democracy, not politics. You have not succeeded in the movement in the past, you will never succeed in the future.

He said fertilizer was not available in the country during the BNP rule. The price of rice was high, people could not buy rice. Manga was performed in North Bengal every year, people would not eat for 3-4 days, many people would die without eating. There is no shortage of food in the country today, no manga as a result of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government’s agricultural development and extensive food aid; Rather all people get food. Even after that, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is giving rice to the poor and destitute people on the occasion of Eid, so that not a single person suffers from food shortage.
