After filing a case of harassment in Barguna’s Patharghata, a class XI student has been accused of attempting to abduct her by tying a towel around her face and neck.

The incident took place in the middle of Kalmegha area of ​​Kalmegha union of the upazila last Saturday (April 18) evening. The accused Bakhate Awal is the son of late Nur Nabi, son of Imra Sikder Sobhan Sikder and son of Mamun Khan Selim Khan. All of them live in Madhya Kalmegha area.

The victim, a college student, said that last year, local Imran offered love on the way to and from school to submit his SSC exam assignment. If I did not agree to this, he would give me bad offers at different times. On the 20th of July last year, on my way home from school, he pulled my scarf and touched my sensitive place. When I told my father, he told Imran’s family. He got angry and teased her more.

The student’s father Ruhul Amin said, “My wife and I went to work in the field on Saturday morning.” When I returned home in the evening, I saw my younger brother’s pregnant wife lying injured. Asked about my daughter, he told me that Awal, Imran Sikder and Mamun Khan were carrying a towel around her face.

When my brother and I went to save my daughter, Awal hit my brother Shahrun on the head with an iron rod. My brother’s wife Urmi kicked him in the stomach. At present his condition is also serious and 10 stitches have been given to his brother’s head. As his condition is more serious, he has been sent to Barisal for better treatment.

In this regard, the doctor of Patharghata Upazila Health Complex said, 10 stitches were found on the head of the victim college student’s uncle. The pregnant housewife was healed by oxygen for two hours. However, the fetus is at risk.

The father of the college student further said that on the advice of the local UP chairman, I filed a case under the Barguna Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act last year. After that my daughter was picked up from the college and threatened to throw acid. I informed the principal of Patharghata College in writing. I and my children are currently suffering from insecurity.

When the accused Awal and Mamun Khan wanted to know about this, they confessed to the beating and said on their mobile phone, we have a previous dispute with them. There has been trouble with that incident. However, they denied the abduction of the college student.

Patharghata police OC said. Abul Bashar said, “We have not received any written complaint about any such incident so far.” If written complaint is received, legal action will be taken after investigation.
