Sri Lankan government issues ultimatum for protesters to leave

At the end of the ultimatum, the Sri Lankan army and law enforcement received instructions to shoot.

A decree has been issued in this regard, stating that if there is a breach of discipline, shots will be fired immediately and no case will be taken up by the court of that country.

At the same time, the Sri Lankan intelligence agency has identified 3,500 people involved in the protests through CCTV and video footage.

Attempts are being made to detain several opposition leaders, while many civilians have been reported to have been evacuated from their homes at night.

The Sri Lankan Authority is going to conduct a nationwide operation with the Special Forces. In addition to censorship in the news media, the hospital is being raided to catch the injured protesters.

At the same time, the Sri Lankan administration has issued an unwritten instruction to inform the authorities about any newly injured patients. This is the first time that Sri Lanka has taken such a tough decision since the end of the war with the Tamil Tigers.
