The convening committee has been formed by announcing the dissolution of the former committee of Greater Noakhali Association in Portugal, an organization of expatriates from Noakhali, Feni and Laxmipur districts living in Portugal.

Incumbent President Humayun Kabir Jahangir, Senior Co-President Abul Kalam Azad, General Secretary and General Secretary Abul Kalam Azad from London addressed a teleconference on Thursday at the local Food Garden Restaurant in the capital Lisbon in the presence of Vice President Mizanur Rahman Masud and chaired by Imran Hossain Bhuiyan.

Mizanur Rahman Masud has been appointed as the convener, Abdul Karim Manik, Main Uddin Master and Imran Hossain Bhuiyan as the joint convener for the next three months.

The convening committee also includes Abdul Quader Bappi, Rajib Al Mamun, Abu Naeem Mohammad Shahidullah, Nur Nabi Titu, Mohin Uddin, Zahid Hossain Bhuiyan and Roni Mohammad, members of the former executive committee of the organization. An 11-member committee was announced to work on the issue.
