Fisheries and Livestock Minister Sh M Rezaul Karim has called on expatriate Bengalis to speak out unitedly against anti-Bangladesh conspiracies and propaganda at home and abroad.
The minister made this call during an exchange of views with expatriate Awami League leaders at a hotel in Munich, Germany last Sunday.
Advisor of German Awami League veteran freedom fighter Masum Mia, General Secretary of German Awami League Abbas Ali Chowdhury, German expatriate Awami League leader Roman Mia, Rehman Habib Khokon, Nitish Kundu, Mofizur Rahman, Nizam Uddin, Golam Mohammad and many others were present.
The minister said that those who are involved in conspiracy and propaganda to spoil the image of Bangladesh abroad should be exposed and given a befitting reply. Besides, the picture of the unprecedented development of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina should be presented to the world.
Commenting that anti-independence and their next generation are still active in the country and abroad, the minister said, they are involved in conspiracy against the government led by Sheikh Hasina. They are trying to create instability in different countries by giving false information about the development of Bangladesh and spreading misinformation through social media. Expatriate Bengalis should be vocal against these misinformation.
Earlier on Thursday, the minister attended the Eid reunion and exchange meeting organized by Bangladesh Awami League, Catalonia, Spain branch in Barcelona, Spain as the chief guest. General Secretary of Spain Awami League Rizvi Alam, Organizing Secretary of Spain Awami League Anichur Rahman Bijay, General Secretary of Catalonia Awami League Amir Hossain Amu, Women Affairs Secretary of Spain Awami League Khadija Akhtar Monica, Organizing Secretary of Catalonia Awami League Muhibul Hasan of Spain Awami League and Catalonia Awami League. Other leaders were present in the meeting.
