The speakers were speaking at the closing ceremony and prize distribution ceremony of Quran recitation competition for expatriate Bangladeshi children organized by Bangladesh Business Forum UAE in a hall room in Ajman, United Arab Emirates on Saturday (April 30).
Consul General of Bangladesh Consulate General in Dubai BM Jamal Hossain addressed the inaugural function as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Forum President Kamal Hossain. BBF Acting General Secretary Poet Obaidul Haque and Organizing Secretary Tariqul Islam Shamim addressed the joint function of Muhammad Ismail and Nazmul Haque. Kazi Ismail, joint convener of the competition, delivered the welcome speech.
Special guests were Prof. Abdus Sabur, President of Bangladesh Samiti Dubai, Shahadat Hossain, Acting President of Bangladesh Samiti Sharjah, Ibrahim Osman Aflatun CIP, Advisor of Business Forum, Dr. Abul Fazal, Jasim Mallick, Tapan Sarkar, Bulbul Ahmad Mukul, Mazhar Ullah Mia, Jahed Hasan, Sarwar Hossain, Mezbah Uddin Gazi, Mansur Mohammad Khalil, Dr. Ashikur Rahman, Qari Mahbubur Rahman Monju, Hafeez Monwar Khan and others.
Leaders of Bangladesh Business Forum said, “The purpose of Quran recitation competition is to make expatriate children try to create relationship with Quran. If a relationship is formed with the Qur’an from childhood, then this child will follow the teachings of the Qur’an in managing his life.
The organizers further said that the initiative of Quran competition will continue in future.
Meanwhile, Safa Kamal Hossain, Ahmad Hasan and Israt Jahan came first, second and third respectively in the junior group in the Quran competition.
