The National Moon Sighting Committee will meet on Sunday evening to decide the date of the holy month of Shawwal. The committee will meet at 7 pm in the conference room of the Islamic Foundation at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram.

Meanwhile, if the moon of Shawwal is seen in the sky of Bangladesh on Sunday, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday (May 2). And if the moon is not seen anywhere in Bangladesh, Monday will be the 30th day of the month of Ramadan. In that case Eid will be celebrated on Tuesday (May 3).
