Azizur Rahman Dulal: A discussion meeting has been held in Alfadanga, Faridpur on bit policing activities and law and order. The meeting was held at Jabed Parvez Memorial Institute in Pakuria village of Buraich union on Wednesday (May 11) afternoon.

For a long time in this village there were disputes between Md. Mithu Mollah, father Mrityu Zahur Mollah, and Firoz Khan, father Chan Khan over land.

People on both sides promise that they will never quarrel again. The meeting was held at the initiative of Alfadanga Police Station Officer-in-Charge Wahiduzzaman under the supervision of BIT Officer SI Md. Yunus Ali and Assistant BIT Officer Md. Shahajul Alam.

At that time OC Wahiduzzaman said, if any kind of crime is committed here, you will give information through our bit officer. Your identity will be kept secret.

He further said, “I assure you that there is no scope for any kind of harassment or corruption in Alfadanga police station.” You should never think that if you go to the police station you have to take money. The police station is open 24 hours to serve the people. It doesn’t cost money to make a GD or a complaint. If anyone takes money, let me know in secret. I will take action against him myself.

Mayor of the municipality Md. Saifur Rahman Saifar, Upazila Vice Chairman Sheikh Delwar Hossain, UP Chairman Md. Jahangir Alam, former UP Chairman Abdul Wahab Pannu and other dignitaries of the area were present on the occasion.
