On Thursday, April 26, 2022, the Center for NRB organized a discussion in New York City entitled “Responsibility of Civil Society Institutions in Improving the Image of the Country”. Consul General of New York Dr. Monirul Islam joined the function as a guest. Individuals representing different classes and professions participated in the program presided over by MS Sekil Chowdhury of NRB Center. Participating in discussions on various topics, they made various suggestions on branding.

The speakers said that NRBs living in different countries should come forward to develop the image of Bangladesh and the government should also take initiative in this regard. They said the government should come forward to utilize the talents and abilities of the expatriates for the needs of the country, prevent negative propaganda against the country and promote the issues of success more. Among the speakers were former MP and address group president MM Shaheen, doctor Dr Masudul Hasan, educationist Naima Khan, US Army officer Joy Chowdhury, chamber leader Liton Ahmed, Bangladesh Association leader Abdur Rahim Hawlader, police officer and father leader Sumon Saeed and Muhammad Shamsul. Huq, Ershad Siddiqui and Humayun Kabir, chief executive of the New York mayor’s security team, banker Imtiaz Chowdhury, general secretary of the Jamaica Friends Society Dr. Russell, journalist Lavlu Ansar, young entrepreneur Mofizul Ahad Shafi, journalist SM Solaiman, journalist Shahidul Islam, Ahad Ali CPA, Professor Hosne Ara, Harvard University Research Assistant Taskirul Islam Nibir, Writer and Democrat Hasan Ali, Dr. Dilip Nath of the New Voters Association, Community Leader Abdur Rahman, President of the Islamic Society of New York City Advocate Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Business Director Sanwar Chowdhury, Abdul Ahad, IT expert Sheikh Ghalib Rahman, community leader Syed Atiqur Rahman. Young American Shahriar M Chowdhury recited the President’s message and Saida Rahman of Long Island University read the Prime Minister’s message.
