About 3,000 CPP volunteers have been prepared. CPP Shyamnagar Upazila Assistant Director Munshi Noor Mohammad said 181 cyclone shelters have been set up to deal with the cyclone.

Of these, 103 are government registered shelters. According to the union, the number of shelters is 10 in Bhurulia, 14 in Kashimari, 18 in Shyamnagar, 12 in Nurnagar, 19 in Kaikhali, 13 in Ramjannagar, 18 in Munshiganj, 16 in Ishripur, 18 in Burigoalini, 19 in Atulia and 14 in Padmab. An estimated 110,000 people will be able to take shelter in these cyclone shelters, he said. Only 2960 CPP volunteers have been prepared to deal with the cyclone in the upazila. According to the union, the number of volunteers is 200 in Bhurulia, 240 in Kashimari, 160 in Shyamnagar, 160 in Nurnagar, 220 in Kaikhali, 280 in Ramjannagar, 360 in Munshiganj, 180 in Ishripur, 180 in Aishpuripur, 320 in Burigowalini, 320 in Burigowalini, 220 in Burigowalini and 220 in Burigoalini. . CPP Assistant Director Munshi Noor Mohammad further said that the CPP members were carrying out other activities including regular weather messages through word of mouth and social media to make the people of the coast aware of the dangers of cyclone. Meanwhile, a list of damaged embankments has been prepared by the upazila administration. According to the list, there are 6 damaged dams in Dwip Union Gabura, 6 in Padmapukur, 11 in Burigoalini, 3 in Atulia, 6 in Ramjannagar, 3 in Munshiganj, 12 in Kaikhali, 2 in Kashimari and 3 in Nurnagar.

It is learned that repair work of these damaged dams is underway. A number of trawlers have also been set up at Burigoalini Nildumur and Padmapukur ferries in the upazila, according to upazila administration sources. A medical team has been prepared for each union from the Upazila Health Complex to deal with the cyclone. Meanwhile, Shyamnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Akhter Hossain visited shelters in Gabura, Burigoalini, Atulia, Munshiganj and Padmapukur Unions.
