BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the clash between students and businessmen in the capital’s New Market was fueled by the BCL and the police. They are responsible for this. On the contrary, they have filed a case in the name of the BNP leader. I demand a fair and impartial investigation into this incident.
He made the remarks while participating in a prayer and iftar mahfil organized by Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) at Ladies Club in the capital on Friday, April 22, 2022.
Mentioning that the present government has taken away our human rights and turned Bangladesh into a failed state in the true sense of the word, the BNP secretary general said that in this situation, all professionals, irrespective of party affiliation, must unite to protect and restore democracy.
He said that since its inception, Ziaur Rahman Foundation has been playing a vital role in various important sectors including agriculture. You know, the failure of the government has created a miserable situation in the country.
