Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko went to Russia two days ago to meet President Vladimir Putin. But he has become ‘seriously ill’ while going there. 68-year-old Lukashenko is currently admitted to a hospital in Moscow.
Lukashenko suddenly ‘disappeared’ on May 9. Many doubt about his physical health as he did not come out in public for a few days. However, on May 15, he came to the public again. At that time, some videos and photos of Lukashenko were released. It tries to show that he is quite well and doing his normal activities nicely.
But last week doubts about Lukashenko’s health again arose. Because at that time it was seen that he could not speak properly and his hand was bandaged.
“According to the information we have, after a closed-door meeting with Putin — Lukashenko was taken to the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow,” Belarusian opposition leader Velary Tsipakello said. But we need to be more sure about this information.’
Russian doctors described Lukashenko’s condition as ‘serious’. His blood was purified in Moscow and he was not in a condition to return to his country at that time.
The President of Belarus, however, said last week that he has been suffering from fever and cold for several days.
The British newspaper The Guardian said in a report last Sunday that members of the Russian intelligence agency may have poisoned Lukashenko. Because Russia now wants someone more obedient than Lukashenko to come to power in Belarus. But poisoning is just an idea.
