Expatriate remittance fighter Shafiqul Islam has died of a heart attack in Lebanon.

He was pronounced dead at his home in the Ayesha Bakkar area of ​​Beirut on Monday (May 2nd) morning. The body is currently in the morgue of a local Lebanese-American hospital.

It is known that Shafiqul Islam had been living in Lebanon for 25 years. He returned to his room on Monday morning after Eid prayers. Since then the room has been locked from the inside.

Later, the locals contacted him on his mobile phone and broke down the door of the room without getting any response and found him unconscious in bed.

After informing the ambulance, they conducted various tests and informed that Shafiqul had died of a heart attack a few hours earlier.

The deceased was identified as Shafiqul Islam of Dakshin Rahmatnagar village in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong district. Father is late Kabir Ahmed.
