Bangladesh seeks India’s help in lifting US sanctions
Bangladesh has sought India’s cooperation in lifting US sanctions on the RAB, said Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen. The foreign minister told reporters at his office today that India would raise the issue with the United States. There are 4.5 million Indians living in the United States. They are very strong. They also told the government. It has just been said that India is our friend state.
US Ambassador Peter Haas has said that the ban on the RAB will not be lifted unless there is some improvement. Asked about this, the foreign minister said, “Several steps have been taken.” What they are saying is responsibility. This responsibility lies within the mechanism RAB.
