Arrested in Sharsha with drugs worth Tk 60,000
Md. Russell Islam, Jessore District Representative: District Detective Branch (DB) police have arrested two drug dealers along with 200 Yaba tablets from bordering Sharsha Upazila area.
DB police confirmed the arrest of the accused with drugs through a press briefing on Wednesday (April 26) afternoon.
The arrested are Akkach Ali, 30, son of Yar Ali Mollah of Goga village in Sharjah and Alamin Mollah, 30, son of Rafiqul Mollah of the same village. The value of the recovered drugs is 60 thousand rupees.
Jessore District Detective Branch (DB) Police Officer-in-Charge Rupon Kumar Sarkar said drug trafficking was going on in the seven-mile area. On the basis of such news, two drug dealers along with 200 pieces of yaba tablets were arrested in a raid in the area of 7 miles to Goga Gami under Sharsha police station. The arrested accused have been handed over to Sharsha police station with a case under the Narcotics Control Act.
