The Syrian Ministry of Transport has called on all airlines to reschedule flights. Besides, it is mentioned that the Aleppo airport is ready to receive relief flights for the victims of the earthquake.
Israeli aircraft attacked Aleppo International Airport on Wednesday morning. Israel launched airstrikes from the direction of the Mediterranean west of Latakia, targeting the Aleppo airport. It damaged the airport and shut down its operations.
Meanwhile, Syrian state media reported that the attack had hampered flights carrying aid to victims of last month’s earthquake. They had to use different paths. However, although the airport was damaged by the Israeli attack, no casualties were reported by the Syrian authorities.
However, the Israeli army refused to comment on this matter.
