Metropolitan Tajhat Police Station SI Atiqur Rahman Chowdhury said the detainee’s name was Moinul Islam. His home is in Pirganj, Rangpur. In disguise, he came to meet a former acquaintance in the dormitory. A university student has also been detained for questioning in the incident.

He further added that it is known that there is a love affair between the two detainees during interrogation. However, there was no complaint against any of them. After interrogation, the arrested youth was handed over to a relative and the university student was handed over to a teacher. The girl is a student of Begum Rokeya University.
