Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, has been arrested. Section 144 has been issued in the country’s capital Islamabad in this incident.
A statement signed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad Akbar Nasir Khan said that Imran Khan has been arrested in the Al-Qadir Trust case. After the arrest, the situation in Islamabad is normal. However, Section 144 will remain in force to prevent this situation from worsening.
According to Geo News, members of Pakistani Rangers arrested Imran Khan from outside the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday.
On this day, members of the Rangers arrested from outside the Islamabad High Court. Where he (Khan) went to seek bail in respect of multiple FIRs registered against him. He was arrested in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
The report also said that after the arrest, the former prime minister was taken away in a black Vigo car by law enforcers.
