Embassy of Argentina has been opened in Dhaka. On Monday, Argentine Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam inaugurated the Argentine Embassy in Banani of the capital. The embassy opened after 45 long years.

State Minister Shahriar Alam said, ‘This is an important and happy moment. It’s not just a diplomatic matter, it’s an emotional moment.’

Argentina’s Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero arrived in Dhaka on Monday morning to inaugurate Argentina’s new embassy and deepen trade and cultural ties.

It should be noted that earlier in 1978 the embassy of Dhaka was closed by the military government of Argentina.
