According to the airlines, 90 per cent tickets for domestic flights have already been sold ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. Most people plan to travel on April 29 and 30.
All in all, there will be pressure from April 26 to May 2.
The number of flights has been increased due to extra pressure on passengers.
This time the demand for tickets on Jessore and Barisal routes is the highest.
Many people are choosing this route to avoid the hassle of ferries.
Passengers are also choosing air routes on routes like Syedpur and Rajshahi for fear of traffic jams.
US-Bangla Airlines General Manager (Public Relations) said. Kamrul Islam told Dhaka Post that US-Bangla Airlines has increased one flight on Rajshahi route and two on Syedpur route based on passenger demand.
NovoAir also operates 26-28 daily flights on domestic routes.
They will operate an additional 8 daily flights centering on Eid. Besides, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has increased daily flights to Syedpur, Barisal and Jessore.
According to the airlines, the demand for tickets from Dhaka to Sylhet and Cox’s Bazar is high from May 3 to 10.
Many will go out with their families after Eid.
In that case the number of flights on these two routes may be increased depending on the demand.
