The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a raid at Thakurgaon regional passport office on the complaint of customer harassment. On Tuesday (March 7) the ACC enforcement team at District Office, Thakurgaon conducted a raid.

It is learned that during the operation, the members of the ACC team undercover checked the passport office and various photocopying shops located nearby to check if there is any harassment and corruption among the service seekers. Meanwhile, an outsourcing worker advised the undercover ACC team member to go to a nearby photocopying shop for more money (in addition to government fees). After the undercover operation, the team informed the head of the office about the outsourcing employee, he issued a show cause notice to the employee and assured the ACC team that appropriate departmental action would be taken against the employee concerned.

Meanwhile, an enforcement operation was conducted from the district office of Faridpur against the councilor of Faridpur Municipality, Faridpur, on the charge of misappropriation of government Khas land by false deed. Necessary records were collected from the Faridpur Ambikapur land office to verify the allegations of mutation and sale by creating fake government Khas-Zami documents. An analysis of the records initially found no truth in the allegation.
