The accident happened during training in the state of Kentucky on Thursday night.
Brigadier General John Lubas said two helicopters collided on an open field during a routine exercise. One vehicle had 5 soldiers and the other had 4 soldiers. All of them were killed on the spot.
Kentucky Governor Andy Bessier expressed grief over the incident. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin also expressed his condolences. In a statement, he said, we are sorry for this tragic loss.
