Whale Merchant, Moulvibazar Correspondent: 3 snatchers have been arrested in Moulvibazar while snatching CNG.

On Wednesday (May 11) at around 10:30 am, passenger SJ Sarkar hired a CNG from Gadarbazar in Srimangal town to go to the market. On the way, a driver named Deen Islam Sagar was asked to stop the car in front of Ayub Ali filling station in Runtampur area of Bhunbir union of the upazila.

After the CNG driver Zafar stopped the car, he beat Deen Islam and two other snatchers, snatched the car keys from him and tried to flee with the CNG. Hearing the driver’s screams, the people in the vicinity came forward and arrested the three snatchers. He later informed the Highway Police Station. After receiving the information, the Highway Police went to the spot, arrested the three snatchers and rescued the CNG driver along with the CNG driver.

Officer-in-charge of Satgaon Highway Police Station in Srimangal Mohammad Ibrahim confirmed the matter to reporters, adding that the detainees were in police custody. Legal action is being taken against them.
