The government has decided to give Ekushey Padak-2023 to 19 prominent citizens and two institutions in recognition of their contributions in various fields in the country.
The Ministry of Culture informed this information in a press release on Sunday afternoon.
Khaleda Manjur-i-Khuda, brave freedom fighter AKM Shamsul Haque (posthumously) and Haji Md. are getting Ekushey Padak in 2023 for their contribution to language movement. Mujibur Rahman.
In the arts, Masood Ali Khan and Shimul Yusuf are getting acting, while Manoranjan Ghoshal, Gazi Abdul Hakim and Fazal-e-Khoda (posthumously) are getting music.
Jayant Chatterjee is getting Ekushey Medal in Recitation, Nawazish Ali Khan in Art and Kanak Champa Chakma in Painting.
Mumtaz Uddin is getting Ekushey Padak (posthumously) for his contribution to the Liberation War, in journalism – Md. Shah Alamgir (posthumous).
Ekushey getting medal in research-Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, Professor in education. Mazharul Islam (posthumous) and Bangladesh National Museum. Getting Ekushey Medal for social service – Vidyananda Foundation and Md. Saidul Haque.
Getting Ekushey Padak for contribution to politics-Advocate Manjurul Imam (posthumous) and Aktar Uddin Mia (posthumously) and Ekushey Padak 2023 is getting Dr. Moniruzzaman.
